EWA's The Real Losers In This Work Stoppage.

The EWA positions staff are the real losers in this Strike. They have been lied to from the outset. They have been moved great distances from their family's and thrown into a job they were not nearly trained to do. They have shop managers that give them grief about their work, which is insane. and the Company just keeps blowing smoke up their rear ends about the great job there doing.

The EWA that are currently here are not going home anytime soon, Why would they? There getting the hang of the job, and the area there working . The Company would never replace them at this point to go back to day one with new people. There here until Christmas i assure you that.

Then what fired when you get back home? You have just proved to the company your not needed at home.

If I get RIFed from my BAU job after strike is over, so be it. I will find another one. As non-union employee, my relationship with VZ were always "at will".

Keep your skill set current to market and you do not need union, you will not have fear. That is how non-union world works for a long-long time now.

Save this money....it's going to be the last dollars you get from Verizon. You have just proved your no longer needed where you were...These are the facts.

Loser? Tell that to our families who will have one heck of a spending spree and vacation after this is over. They'll wish this happened every 2 years.

How important is an EWAs job, if they sent him/her to do my job? Makes me think union jobs are vital and EWAs job disposable.

Why such hatred for the Union workers if your so happy?

Having been in the garages for sometime now, they seem to get along fine with the managers. Hell there is some real comradery building here since the imbecile union workers are acting like the beasts they are and screaming "scabs " at the managers too.

The EWAs are the ones making all the money.

The losers are the people without income or healthcare who, at this point, may not ever have a job at Verizon again. A few weeks from now the EWAs will be back in their BAU jobs with lots of money in savings where as the strikers may be declaring bankruptcy.

Advantage: EWAs.
