As you can see from the "view" many people are trying to keep abreast of the latest surplus. As many have stated there hasn't been any news coverage today. Let's try and get an idea of every location that was involved and how many people were impacted. Please add to this post so that we can get an overall "picture".

Where in FL?
In FL Mobility there was 1 Director, 3 Area Retail Sales Mgrs, and approx. 15 account executives who were surplus on Monday. Sad for all those that were effected.
Just ask someone who's 40 years old they have a list of the positions and number. I think only for their region.

Looking around just maybe buys a little extra time. It also places u at risk IMO because you're likely new, ramping up land easy to justify cutting.
My manager is quietly telling people to look around quick.
Talk is the company is going to move the 911 center in CT to Chicago very soon.
More expected in Connecticut and New Jersey in June. CT has a lot of people left after the Frontier sale and only the mobility people do work in the state. The rest are supporting functions out of the state. duplicate costs will drive the layoff. We had 2600 now down to 300 union and about 300 management.

Some directors and some managers in Denver have been let go on Friday, all legacy DIRECTV.
In rounds for surplus ending March 2015, close to 18,000 laid off, not in the news, media, etc. In late 2014, several thousand others as well, not sure how exactly, some offered positions in Dallas if they wanted to move, but not many. Several call centers closed. Without giving away too much info, I was a couple of months away from full retirement and only found out after I left that they let others (a couple instances) stay on payroll until they met their time. Hard to find a job with 25 years experience and competing with college grads for 1/3-1/2 the pay... Many still unemployed.
