@uub - Typical union cock munch. He has problems with his own heavy wife and assumes everyone else does. F--- off.
Clearly his wife has put on some weight and your husband has found a tight little scab friend.
the OP is either 1) full of s***, 2) has a stupid spouse, or 3) has a spouse that doesn't want to spend time with him/her.
It's very easy to get PTO for a situation like that.
I agree with post as to why.... People in my work group have missed so much of their family events because of service imaginary. The provisions placed in the contract was meant for storms and such, not for lack of mgmt planning. We have all been made to work 12 s for weeks on end. I'm sad that more folks don't realize this is the Exact reason we're doing this.
OP- I feel your pain the union has f--ked us all by abandoning their jobs.
This is the exact reason we are on strike. The company would do just what's happening to him to all the members whenever they feel like it with the current verbiage. We are selling a 49.99 triple play in Boston. Everyone will work 7 12's and shipped to Boston until this service difficulty is over. Because we just laid off 55 workers also.
Assuming this is true your spouse should have asked for time off. I've had coworkers be excused from EWA for days for weddings, anniversaries, and similar. I doubt it would have been difficult to get at least a few days off.
Verizon should have given your wife time off. Sorry they are so insensitive.
