lets face it. if the strike is going to last another 2 ~ 4 months or more, you definitely will have to cross to provide for your family and have medical insurance. If we are close to making a deal, then crossing now will not affect the negotiation terms much. Either way it is better to cross. Also if you cross now, you can work some overtime and get some of the lost wage back.
