That's the rumor, take it with a grain of salt but I heard it from multiple sources and I saw it here on layoffs.com too.

well if it's on the internet, then it's true!
Frontier did pick up the Special service and local 911 centers supporting the state so some jobs were saved. not all but some is better than none.
CT is Connecticut and do you really think ATT will keep a call center in a state where the cost are the highest and there is absolutely no need locally?
Rumor? it was only a rumor when they dumped the special services center which supported many big company's outside of CT.
What's CT, Connecticut?
