Dial Tone - do we need it? I was told to order a case of dial tone for the CO where my EWA assignment is located. Liquid form is ok, but I could also get the powdered kind that you mix with water - which is able to be stored for a longer period of time. Does anyone have the part number for either? I never knew that dial tone had a shelf life.

Ok so lets talk about about what we need. Verizon needs workers here in the US that actually have to physically touch something. If you can look out past your cubicle and out a window while imagining you in some foreign country then your job doesn't need to be here and Verizon will surely export it. Smirk all you want. This fight is your fight too. The fact that some IT guy with 20 years was RIF'd and immediately replaced by cheap H1B visa person is disgusting. Did your cell bill come down, Fios, telephone....ect. No, it didn't. Wake up EWA's. Drive out and park it.

@eny- what a mastery of the English language! You MUST be a Rhodes Scholar… what on earth are you doing in the CWA?!?!
durrrrrr. stupid.
Soooo…. Is this the type of jokes senior union members play of the juniors? You figure they fell for the union spiel, so they’ll fall for anything?
5g to the home your all fired
This is NO EWA.
They would not fall for this.
This is is a union troll, trying to make a funny.
It failed, just like the strike.
It is still needed, elevators have to have it by law, security systems still use it, many people still use fax machines (must be for privacy) data centers use it for back up modems for their equipment, businesses prefer landlines, 911 is important to some people, bad cell service or no option in rural areas, nation fuel and nyseg use it to monitor equipment, I could go on and on......I guess if Verizon just made it unavailable then other options would have to be explored. Sounds like grounds to be regulated again.
I think the powered version only comes in yellow, the liquid version comes in multiple colors. Check with your shop steward.
