Bought a really nice house in Morgantown WV today. Used to be VZ owned Morgantown, but now Frontier and Comcast own it.

Morgantown is booming, but no Union.

Cause and effect?

"On the flip side, there will be a lot of changes the way management treats you."

Oh you're going to start being nice again so we get your numbers where they should be once the debacle that replacement workers left behind is dumped on us?

"Hey no problem.. I'm really hoping this internet tough guy is management at VZ. You better hope you get RIF'd because us slobs will make your life a living hell. !!"

So slob, really, no changes for us at all all when you come back, just a usual day on our end. On the flip side, there will be a lot of changes the way management treats you.

150,000 have crossed the picket lines since April 13th. More to come. Wait until May 20th. You'll see. You read it here.

As one of those about to be riffed I want to thank the union for the little pre rif bonus. But it would be great if you guys could stay out until july4th my granddaughters birthday is that weekend and she wants me to give her a party at the water park and an extra K that payday would come in handy. After that I'll have my car paid off and the upgrades on my house complete and you can come back. Thanks for your support.

@gvm - money is a part of life unfortunately, there is no doubt about it, but life is a balance, it isn't called work/life balance for nothing, something that VZ says they "support". What good is am of that money if you don't have a life of time for yourself to enjoy it? Working forced mandatory 12's or 15 hour days isn't something I would call having a life.

You union guys don't have to hate the people on EWA. I am very sure most of folks are forced to work and almost all of them want to go home. OT is nice but money is part of life. It won't matter if anybody on EWA don't agree or agree to what union demands. I don't care what union gets or lose from VZ or if VZ breaks union. Bottom line is that folks on EWA have nothing to gain but to lose from this strike.

All you f---tards make no sense,, the company doesn't care about you,bla bla bla, but you think they give a f--- about you union scrubs and they need you back.. Not likely.. I think your more afraid of not getting hired by frontier because your all a bunch of bags of sh-- that couldn't clime a latter if you had to.mabey you can get a job at the circus walking up n circles, or herding gesse,, useless piles wasted DNA..best part of you all ran down your old man's leg if you even know who he is

I heard it's very close to conclude this strike. My source told me he heard from very high up. No specific date is known. I heard the rumors this Wednesday, next Wednesday, Friday...so on...

What I heard is there will be some news this week to update folks.. I am pretty sure of this one.

Remember last week it was before the 5-20 date to prevent some of the provisions from being removed.

I also heard before Father's day so lowell can get father day cars from the union.

Then go back to the hole you crawled out of, I don't care who you are or what you do....I'm glad you are loving the OT but that money will be spent just as fast as you got it. Too bad you cant get all those hours of your life back because you had to give it all to a company that doesn't really give a crap about you either way.

I've been hearing that since Friday. Apparently they are close to an agreement, but the company doesn't want to pay holiday pay so they're coming back on the first.

@mgs - why did you take it then knowing you would be out the door soon anyhow? Someone sounds extremely bitter. I see who is really a big baby throwing tantrums. Why don't you get a real job and quit scabbing and temping all over the place? Deal with it, you were a temp replacement option for the company to chew up and spit back out and a not very good one at that.

I didn't interview for this job, since you had a baby fit someone had to do it....when this is over I go back to my own job where I hired in. You're a child thrown a tantrum.

@xcx - follow your own advice, you don't like working in a Union shop with union employees, then quit. Don't let the door hit you on the behind. Good riddance.

Don't like it, quit, go somewhere else and stop having your baby fit. So yes, you walked off the job. Go elsewhere.

@vvg - we didn't walk off the job, if we didn't get proposed a crappy contract with the company bargaining in bad faith, we wouldn't be on strike. Also, people that aren't idiots don't want to deal with the legal and monetary problems with crossing a pocket line, little do you know. How is it considered walking off the job when the company received ample legal notice that we were going on strike along with a specific date/time frame? You make no sense.

I heard June 6th because that's when the union qualifies for unemployment, which is a bunch of sh--. You walked off the job, you don't deserve unemployment.

The OP will be drug out of his work location when the union comes back kicking and screaming "they came back and took our JERBS!" meanwhile soon to be rif'd EWAs will be saying the same thing. Scabs and EWAs, in unison say it along with me "THEY TOOOOOOOK OUR JERBS BECAUSE THE COMPANY DOESN'T CAAAARE!"
