Accenture helps companies outsource, this means that a lot of jobs will be going to Accenture. So, if you are VZ now, you will transfer to Accenture, they will cut your check and they will manage you.
They do this for 1000s of companies, so if your workload drops, they fill your plate with work from other companies. They also pay less, and they have 100,000+ people on payroll in India and China.
So, once they come in, US based employment drops, they ship as much as they can overseas, they pay less, and they are basically slave drivers. They do not care about you, they have 400,000 employees, the vast majority of those are in business process and tech outsourcing.
They also do consulting, but that's a small group in Accenture and they make most of their money by outsourcing thousands of positions. Some of them may stay onshore, but you will hate your life if you go work for them. I am talking 0.25% raises, minimal bonuses, nobody cares about your career kind of situation.
