When you dump Verizon stock, you are hurting yourself. The strike is temporary. Your career and ability to provide for your family is depended on Verizon. Most union people haven't taken advantage of the tuition assistance so Verizon is the only place they can work. I hope Verizon does go down. Then all you union people can go work at Walmart for a fraction of what you making now.

If 39,000 striking members dump all of their Verizon stock, and we assume each one of them owns $100K worth (hey very big assumption), the entire membership then controls roughly $4B worth of stock. The current market capitalization for Verizon is $202B.

How about get 39,000 striking workers to trade their Verizon stock within a few days. You're probably right, it's probably trading above what it should be and will be trending down in the future. Not only would it kick Verizon in the balls but would be a good financial move ads well.

Three days ago I was talking to a group of friends about it and 2 of them had Verizon stock. They go to the same advisor that suggested they dump it now while it's still up.
I agree, purchasing failed assets such as AOL, Yahoo, GORetard, assfacetv are really counter intuitive and will make the company fail eventually if they keep going that direction.
