They are hiring people to cover for strike. Many positions could lead to perm.

Actually it isn't. If you're being layed off it might be an oppotunity to work for a company that trays it's people well (or at least better). Trying a better alternative first is better than jumping to similar misery. It's a mindless move that perpetuates this Corp. bad behavior/culture.

Bad idea. Culturally att and vz are each other's evil twin. Same old tired mired down leadership vision issues. Dynamic almost identical.
