Verizon is all about RIFs. Shareholders love it and the employees must know it's all about Shareholder value. Please RIF more of us, cut some cost, bring in the offshore or millennial talent. We just need a good kick in the assto realize how dreadful it really is to be part of such a greedy company. Better matters

You should be proud to sacrifice your paycheck for the greater good of the company. Good luck with your career beyond Verizon. As for you being skilled and educated that I do doubt. Ps don't worry about your wire I wore a condom.

I love how the union trolls think shouting RIF is going to scare people. It happens every year, and a RIF isn't anything to worry about. We have skills, contacts, education, and experience. The severance will be a nice little bonus and a great way to go start the next chapter. Oh and yea I know, you're screwing my wife, I'm in a hotel all alone, yadda yadda yadda. You need to get some new talking points programmed into your brain by the union leaders. These are getting old.

Yes I heard all management like myself will be RIFFED and the union will run it all themselves since they do such great jobs like the idiots at CWA 1108.

this is the upper management taken advantage of the average worker. this is a war. middle class, union, non union (sheep) against the big shots.. we must and should work together for the future of the country and our children. we bash each other. i'm older than most of you, i can remember my mom raiseing my four siblings while my dad had a union job. we did'nt live great but we were all together. none of us had trouble with the law, my mom was always home. none of us had unwanted children, mom was home. bottom line is this, if WE don't help one another with this problem the counrty will fall to the greed of the few.

I hope for a rif. I have 20 years and will be due 35 weeks of pay, plus whatever vacation I've accrued. That's 8 months paid off. I've been working at some job or other sincerity was 14. I have never been off for more than 2 weeks at a time. I welcome it.

The EWAs on this board, some know what's up, others don't have a clue. You think you'll be going back to your BAU job after doing your temp assignment? Who's been minding the store while you've been out here playing dressup? The strike is a great way for the company to declutter. Prepare for the RIF.
