Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

EWA Nightmare..Not Going Home...Will Be Here Till The End... Will Have To Train Real Scabs.

The facts are the current EWA's will never go home until this is completely done, that's a fact, and looking at it today, that will be at least though the Summer. Now there are just not enough replacements to do the job , So Verizon is bringing in Real scabs, and EWA's will have to train their New co-workers. This is what's going to happen. and it's going to be fun to watch.

Verizon is just abusing the EWA and by the way, who is doing their job at home? I guess there really not needed there. Oh Boy.

I'm at least being transferred back to my home city to continue EWA. They are opening up additional call centers outside of the NE so people can at least be home at night. Still have to work 12 hour days, 6 days a week but I'll be going home every night. It's a smart move by VZ to keep EWAs happy and this will save a ton of money on travel expenses. But it makes it seem this will be going on for quite a while. They are now talking about July and August vacation schedules instead of just May and June. I'm so ready to be done with this but I'll keep doing my part.

Managers spending all their time tracking down replacement workers trying to do damage control. One step forward two steps back.

Scabs with one weeks training teaching alcoholic scabs with no training (or drivers licenses) how to do work they have no clue about, recipe for success! I see why Lowell makes the big bucks ; -)

Dam I guess it's going to suck for the over achievers. I hope they like the cold winter weather.

Managers are hand picking who they want and transferring ones they don't want.

I heard the same thing. But that they were going to announce that EWA's were going to be permanently relocated to the areas they are currently at.
