Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

WTF is wrong here

Seriously, i understand that anti-union sentiment exists, but on this site it is overly portrayed. I am union and work with many managers on a regular basis. We stand up for what we need, sorry we cant stand up for you 1st levels that need it to, but its not our place. What we dont do is try to kick you while your down. To all of the people posting to this site topics of pure hatred we know 1/2 of you are trolls we ignore your thoughts. Without knowing anything of the company lingo you are liklely an outsider. To the factions of wireless people who complain that we are overpaid, its not that we are overpaid this corporation has you convinced we are the issue. Read the history books from 1940 on. The fact is wireless employees are underpaid. Thats not our fault we fight our fight and are more than willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with you when you fight yours. United we stand, has the strike affected me, it sure has. I have a tan and have spent everynight at the dinner table with my family. Oh and im sure with just a simple masters degree im just some dumb union fat lazy slob, height 6'1", weight 180lbs. People stop being nieve and stand up to these corporations that want to destroy anerica for the sack of profits.

@jxg . Exactly! At one time I was neutral about this strike. I am non union craft in Virginia but after seeing their behavior on Youtube and at a few of our offices I could give a rats you know what about the Union member. I hope they all loose their job. I have zero sympathy for these people.

Despite what they may think and ask, I sleep very well at night. I have no moral or emotional issue about me going to work and them loosing their job.

Good riddance to bad rubbish!

You dummies took over this site. This site was non-union wireless and wireline and even when we told you to stop, you continued. That's why we hate you union dummies.

This is a layoff site. Yet union pricks have taken it over with their union BS. Verizon is a piece of $hit company, but all you union people need to go start a union site or something. Get out of here already. The majority that are not union are sick of your cry baby shenanigans,

When some union thug called an EWAs teen daughter a C... On Twitter I think that sums it up on the caliber of union folks. Granted there are some decent ones but the loudest ones are the ones the rest of the world sees and hears.

@wue It's pointless to try and speak to, or reason with, any union member. They aren't reasonable and can't think on their own. The only thing they know to do is spout the union talking points and walk around in circles. It takes intelligence and compassion to be able to have a real conversation with someone. And it's beyond obvious that union members have neither.

"sorry we cant stand up for you 1st levels that need it to, but its not our place. What we dont do is try to kick you while your down."

I hear the BS spouting all the time, that the union is protecting all middle class jobs...you just proved this big lie right here. And as for the 2nd part of this statement, not only do you constantly hear rif, rif, rif, from the union, but look back several months ago on this board when it was really about layoffs, and union morons were giddy as can be, and actually posting joy towards other people's suffering, so give me a break. Both sides have a-holes trying to get a rise out of the other side. Neither side can claim the high ground here.

@buu you proved my point. Along with your degree in math, you must have a degree in a--hole since you believe you are not "required" to spell correctly. And if the union was to blame for only one sunken ship since 1912, that's not too bad. Lastly, don't be mad at unions fighting for the middle class. Maybe when you are done playing math blaster you can work to get a higher wage too.

nrn- True! They most likely will 'slip' their first month and try to go out on disability.

@cxv. I don't think the union slugs would want to be greeters. They aren't used to working that hard.

I propose the union folks head over to Walmart. You can unionize them during your lunch break.

@ggq. Is that the only line your union bosses programmed into your brains? RIF RIF RIF. Guess what....we know and many of us welcome it! It's not a scare tactic to us. Maybe it is for the union since you have no other option in life than to be a low-end manual labor grunt for the rest of your lives. But for the rest of us, we have an education and significant experience that will ensure we land on our feet. Whether it's here or another company. So, buddy time to quit with the RIF line. Go back and ask your union bosses what else you can say, because I know you're incapable of thinking on your own.

Seems to me, that there are more union trolls on this site.

Time to crush the union, and hire someone who wants to work.

You all hate VZ so much, find someone else stupid enough to pay your high salaries.

I have a degree in math, thus are not required to spell correctly. However, I would think you Union folks that preach that you built this country and company could spell both. Go back to 1912 when unions were needed for safety issues and sink with the Titanic.

You tried to comment on the spelling of America but used "spelled" instead of spell. I guess you have a degree in a--hole

Someone might take the union seriously if y'all were to stop screaming obscenities, spitting and jumping in front of moving vehicles. Thug is as thug does.

The vitriol that we hear everyday from your union brothers is what starts it. On day one did managers come out to work and start cursing at Union? No? On day one did union curse at managers they didn't even know? Yep.

Go fcuk yourselves, enjoy unemployment and the repo men.
