How many jobs are going to India? The Unions have exposed the lies the company told about the philippines. What lies do you think are being told to us? We can sit here and complain, but we all know we will lose our jobs to India.

Vz acquired MCI many years ago. MCI already had call center contracts in place with companies in Phillipines so it had nothing to do with Union work. These aren't Vz offices. There are companies all over the world that offer/sell call center services to most large corporations. Call centers are 24x7. Who wants to work all night or all weekend anyway? Send those over and keep prime time within centers in US.
When the work is no longer a skill, it will go to India. Have you seen the work they produce? I'm not worried.

Blacksmiths and cobbler make good money now because people realize a good pair of shoes will last for years. And its not progress, its financialization, which is a way for companies to rip off workers. Do some research and its very clear why the ceo's are rigging the system, are production goes up, ceo's pay goes up and inversely workers pay and benefits go down. Union or not it aint right.
And managers became obsolete when they invented GPS, automated spread sheets, QAR, VLSS, and Work Brain.

what lies about the Phillipines? Verizon has been there over 6 years. They are also in Mexico.
Then learn a new skill. The blacksmith was replaced when the car was invented. The cobbler was replaced when the assembly line was invented. It's called progress, it's called a world economy. Figure out what job you want to do, and learn it. People lose jobs all the time, ask the steel workers and auto workers and meat packers. It's just the way of the world.
