ATT is cutting 80% of retail by 2020. That means out of national retail authorized retail and corporate retail you will be in the octagon fighting for 20% of the business. less than that every year. The rest is online and through the myatt app. rural closures and conversions are mostly completed. suburban closures begin to happen in early 2017 to 2018 but if you work in a store of the future then you will be ok for another year. if you wait until 2018 to 2019 you will then need to fit the image of a hip and young company that they want as part of the future to be in those stores as some urban ones convert to dealers. If you look like a schlub and don't dress like a hipster then plan to move on by halfway through 2018 even in urban areas

T-Mobile let go 50% of AE's then a year later all AE's. Whoever is left standing after this sh-- show of a surplus should still look for another job because who's to say they won't let you go when they decide to outsource

The current layoff doesn't effect retail store managers, just their ARSM's. But I'm sure that the sell off to dealers is going to be next. T-Mobile did this a few years back. And remember, T-Mobile laid off all their AE's that supported dealer and national retail stores and outsourced reps to market source a few years back. I am the lowest paid, highest performing AE in my state so I'm sure I will survive this layoff but my fear is that they will let all of us go and outsource to market source like tmo did.

No time table but they always negotiate doors between dealers. Would recommend planning an exit now.
