Assuming no deal this weekend?

there is no official mediation going on. The negotiation restarted on under the assistance of mediator. This is different than normal mediation which occurred during last strike. One of the VP in crowaround confirmed that.
"I also know that union members who have crossed over are helping train EWAers to get better at their temporary assignments."
It seems like a good number of guys from Frontier, and retired from Verizon, have come on as well. I suspect they are being used as a subject matter expert's in various regions to deal with the more difficult problems. I was kind of surprised by this, but I guess money talks.
"Mid June at the earliest is my prediction - though I'm thinking late August or September is more realistic."
By late summer, I don't think the company will care if folks come back or not :-(. The contractors will have been out for so long, even newbies should be halfway respectable. Sure, maybe a billion or two will have been lost, but I believe they feel over the long run it will pay off. I suspect this is a big part of the strategy, and union leadership is seems to be falling for it (or they are aware of it, and are willing to take the risk for their own reasons). I guess we will all find out in time.

They have not been negotiating for 10 months. Company said they wanted this, union said they wanted that. And that's where it sat for 10 months, no budging. Now they are negotiating.
"Nobody on this board know anything ..."
Oh yes I do. I know that Shelton, Trainor and Mooney are getting paid handsomely, still enjoying their healthcare benefits and the palaces where they live while their members are going without and getting screwed over.
I also know that the number of CWA members crossing over increases everyday and that the proficiency (<<-- I realize that is a big word for union members) of the EWAers improves everyday. I also know that union members who have crossed over are helping train EWAers to get better at their temporary assignments.
So, yes, as a matter of fact there is a lot that is known.
Here goes the same troll, going to go into June so you may as well cross now B.S. Go away.
If anyone else took this long to close a deal they'd be fired. Negotiations about to get a birthday card.
No one knows.
The whole "Deal this weekend, back to work Monday" rumors were BS and looks that way now. You don't negotiate for 10 months and then 4 days into Federal mediation strike a deal. This will probably go into June.
Nobody on this board know anything..just a bunch of sh $#/- t starters..to get on each others nerves. ..please what arr we in pre school
Local management here. Nobody really knows.
Due to Gag order, we won't hear anything until the end of the game. Any news now is just guess based on speculation. Just have to sit tight and wait.
Before Labor day hopefully
Spoke with my Director who direct reports to guy under Mudge and he's hearing expect this to go in to June. VZ and Union didn't just talk for 10 months and now suddenly reach deal in 3 days under mediation.
