Why did AT&T hire more security guards? We were notified via a meeting today.

Hey at least you were notified in person, 3 years ago when mobility axed application and production support (actually outsourced to TM) we were put in listen only mode on a conference call with our director and told we would be getting an email following the call telling us if we were getting an offer from the contract company (which is they refused they lost their severance benefits) or if we were getting surplused. I am still thanking my lucky stars I found another position. Nothing like over 1000 people all surplused at the same time fighting for jobs UGH

Very simple They are expecting many unhappy people when they stick it to them
past call center I worked at they hired additional security when they closed the center
