Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Denver, Tulsa, and Missoula O&Os

Is anyone still hiring at the Denver, Tulsa, and Missoula O&Os?

This is some shady stuff going on. No one in L&D knows what is going on and are being told to travel or get fired.

Morale at the center is as low as it can get. I went to a meeting where the leadership was brainstorming ideas to improve morale and saying that it's fear that is causing them to have low morale.

Well duh. No information and lots of speculation will kill morale.

I work in Tulsa O&O site in L&D. I can tell you for a fact there will be no hiring through the end of the year. Check your bonus payout schedules. You will notice that November and December now say TBD. For those of you scratching your heads that means To Be Determined. We are being forced to travel to outsourced call centers to train in third world countries. The TL's in the L&D department have been reduced to Tech call type TL's. We are waiting to hear if we will be offered jobs within the AT&T umbrella or be pushed to surplus.

My trainer in Missoula cannot travel and was told refusal will be considered insubordination with disciplinary consequences. Can they do that? I know they don't get the same pay (much, much lower) than legacy AT&T trainers and don't have the same title. If nothing is supposed to change officially until 01/01/17, are they just trying to get people to quit? So many people have quit or been fired for sketchy reasons at my call center here. Morale is so low. It makes me sad.

No new classes in Missoula (Tech, BGI, AQ, Case Management, NCW) either since early October. This pretty much means we're getting closed down, I guess. I know the expensive lease for this facility is up in June or July? Hmm....

@HurnGp5-ncf - I do not work in Tulsa, but hiring-freezes are usually the first indicator that layoffs are coming

good luck

I work in the Tulsa site, I was next to the last class to get hired. They have been on a hiring freeze since December.
