Maybe a reread is needed:
The White House was briefly put on lockdown Friday afternoon after Secret Service agents shot a man who brandished a gun at a security checkpoint, a law enforcement source told The Post. Rumor has it that a scab saw the writing on the wall and was trying to prevent an agreement from being reached because he was making more than his paycheck by robbing customer's houses while on scab duty.
The individual was shot in the stomach and taken to a local hospital with critical injuries.
The shooting took place on West Executive Drive, at the intersection of 17th and E streets, which is outside the White House grounds, according to the US Park Police.
President Obama was away from the White House at the time, playing golf at Andrews Air Force Base.
