Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

You know, I hope everyday to see an end to the strike. But seeing that money hit my account every other week is all the incentive I need.

Some posts here seem to think that management want strikers to cross. Let me tell you something. While it makes me sick to my stomach to see how stupid my former employees were to ever walk out like this in the first place, a scab makes me even sicker. Other than those that crossed on day one. They showed they can think for themselves. But someone who strikes and then crosses? No loyalty at all. Just over two months from now it will all be over. All these "temps" will be in the field doing half assed jobs. The EWAs will all go home and it will be business as usual, except that Verizon will have rid itself of the millstone around it's neck that is the CWA. Hang in there my fellow EWAs! Goodbye and good riddance CWA.

I have a good idea, part of the problem is that the union members don't want to be forced out of town so much and the managers seem to love it and the pay, since they are trained now let them take the assignments.
