That is a lot of self hate to contain.

From what I've been reading in these threads it would appear this Asshat Man fellow is deeply troubled.Someone might want to say a prayer for him.
Don't let ASSHAT MAN sell his hate and lies here.Just remember,"A person who hates himself this much ,cannot love anyone."

I work 24 hrs straight 24hrs off 24hrs straight
For 2years
Before the strike I always thought it was a raw deal when management lost their pension, not so much anymore.
How sweet it is!
"So in short, the union members cannot relate to all the extra $$ that the EWAs are making. "
Oh yes they can. Everyone who has worked Sandy can. Many people who choose to work 3-4 hours every single night in FiOS-heavy areas, along with every Saturday and Sunday...money is there for taking if one is up for it.
Personally, I prefer not to work OT. But that choice has been taken away from me over the past year and a half...
I love your wife and the cut of your check I get for my services! Keep working.
Again, lots of that money is on FORCED ot. Straight 40 hr is sane. 70+ ever week is insanity.
Thanks for the explanation. So in short, the union members cannot relate to all the extra $$ that the EWAs are making. I think some of the Union brethren were confused.
"Wow, I didn't realize the union members had OT in addition to a $150K salary. Amazing!"
FTR, no union member in VZ has a $150K salary. Top pay is $40.35/hr in the highest-paid state (NY), for the highest-paid title (field or CO technician).
That brings one to roughly $85K + benefits, where $90-95K total would be somewhat of a fair assessment. Do bear in mind that states like VA pay a lot less than that.
None of this is any secret, really. One can look up pretty much any single contract for any given area and read for themselves...

If it wasn't for the unions making what they make an hour, management wouldn't be making what they are making now. If he techs were paid 20/hr, managers would be $25/hr, then a little more up the chain. Bring in a lower pay workforce, guess what? Pay cut for you too.
Most of the Union guys have been making those big checks for decades, not to mention the 401k and pension. I myself am on year 11. Enjoy your last few weeks of being compensated fairly for your work. The Unions and workers have earned that right.
"You guys and the money bragging reminds me of Julia Roberts in pretty women."
You've got to understand that the paychecks that these people are seeing now is something that they're not accustomed to...to the rest of us who have been there and done that, it's nothing to write home about.
Personally, while the $$$ was nice after Sandy I got out of 12-hour shifts as soon as I could. More recently, being forced almost every night and on almost every Sunday drove me nuts. I wouldn't want to go through the whole summer of 70+ hours workweeks like our replacements are likely going to have to do...and to all of them I can only say: enjoy!
You guys and the money bragging reminds me of Julia Roberts in pretty women.
Bahahahahaha!!!! Union scum just got served lol
One day longer, one paycheck larger! :)
BURN!!
I have benefits for that. :)
Save that money and put it towards the hospital bill you'll soon incur
