Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Would either side stop the current negotiation?

Do you think either side would consider breaking off the current negotiations in DC led by Alison? Or do you think they will be there until this is settled?

Perez is not leading them. He may be there for part of it but Alison Beck is the lead.

Secretary Thomas E. Perez is leading the negotiations. His reputation is at stake.

I don't think Verizon will because of the federal Networkx bid. The worse thing the company could do is lose several billion dollars of revenue over the next few years by refusing to cooperate with the government and appearing to be hostile to labor.

This will result in a deal or impasse with jobs replaced. Prob 50/50 shot.
