I am looking forward to the RIF. I think I may volunteer. after that I can get a job with he union workforce. I'm sick of being productive. I DO like drinking coffee, taking naps, and scratching my a$$.

If an EWA manager refuses to do their job, they risk losing their livelihood. It's not out of "fraternal betrayal". Management is not part of the so-called union brotherhood. Union members are on strike based on a personal commitment to an ideology that we may not all hold to. You will be back, either through your own accord or by an agreement. In the meantime, we all have to do whatever we feel is right for our families. Only God can judge me.
Watching the EWAs has taught me that management employees are lemmings willing to run off a cliff if VZ told them to. EWAs have a corrupted value system, which puts money over fraternity. I wouldn't want to go to War with EWAs in my unit, as they'd scatter as soon as the situation wasn't personally rewarding. I wouldn't want them in my Church as they are Judas sell outs in the flesh. The behavior of EWAs has generally eroded my belief that most people are inherently good...ill no longer stop to help others in need as I see they'll undercut me if given either the chance or directive. You can grandstand to your hearts content about doing this at sacrifice for family or out of obligation, but in the final analysis you are EWAs because you lack a moral compass or higher standards for yourself. You've shown your true colors. No help for you or your family when you're in need.
rzz ,
Pillow? I see you haven't learned much doing your EWA assignment. Even rookies know what to do.
@fxu.... I'm not sure if you actually read the OP (or, maybe you need to brush up.... you can stream episodes of Reading Rainbow)... he/she wants the RIF to come.
@HtHbfoz-smn --- You would be jumping from the frying pan into the fire. You seem smarter than that.
You are not productive. Your BAU job is expendable, hence the reason you're on EWA. Your not missed, and proving to the company that your position is not needed. Furthermore if you are not productive in your EWA assignment ( of which 95% of all are not ) then I would advise you to start preparing your resume
now, where did I put my pillow....
@YIB- this can't continue... If Verizon decides to break the union, I can't jump on the gravy train. I am converted. I am now a union supporter.
Union employees are synonymous with doing nothing!
@HtHbfoz ----Your doing that while doing your EWA work, and making so much money. Why change?
Can't drive drunk, can't drop poles on houses, can't take ten minutes to put your ladder up, can't stare at hubs wishing they would open themselves, can't again drive drunk. If you can stop from doing all that, you're in.
lol... I have one question, though. now, I know we won't get benefits while striking, but... if we ARE striking, and I pinch my finger folding a lawn chair, do I qualify for disability when we get back?
I just spilled my coffee all over myself. Couldn't catch it as I had my other hand scratching my a$$.
It burns, disability here I come!!
you would make a great union employee
