Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

All for nothing!

What weak CWA leaders you guys have! haha you union members have wasted your time. I say we still lock you out and show you how good you really had it once you become stock boys at Lowes and Home Depot making $15/hour. "Verizon is soo greedy, so to show them how greedy they are we're going to voluntarily leave our job and strike because we want more money even though we have the highest averaged salary amongst active Unions" lmao. Little brother falls again!

Who are you to say "we" still are gonna lock "you" out. ? Who is we. ? Do you own this company ? I have been here for 29 years I helped build this company it is more my company then yours pal ! I probably have more stock in the company then you also ! I love these newbies thinking that 5 years in wireless makes you a veteran and a controlling partner

You shouldn't make uninformed comments clearly you have no idea why we are striking!

On one hand I don't want to see any Verizon employees lose their jobs to a greedy company. But given my recent experience with Verizon landline call center (one week, twenty different "representatives" to not solve a problem), I say keep the techs, don't allow them to be forced to be shipped to other areas to work at Verizon's whim and screw the call center folks. (Okay, I'm a little bitter.)

Guys,

Lets cut the insults down.

From what I have seen the biggest issue is job security.

Personally, I cannot stand seeing all of our jobs go off shore.

(call center and IT jobs).

The union does need to understand the realities of the business, and VZ needs to be less gready.

GLTA.

Lowes pays 15 bucks an hour, I'm in. That with my pension check every month, nice. Thanks for the info.

This is what happens when you are respresented, dickweed. You are NOT represented. You are on the clock, facing a future of uncertainty. Those people at Lowes and Home Depot work hard and will be gainfully employed for the forseeable future. YOU WILL NOT. We will be back when we get a fair contract. Until then, save up buttercup.

Flawed EWA logic. Too bad the strike had nothing to do with wanting higher wages, nice try, try again.
