Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

***** Remember this Saturday. May 21 Kids & Families Day of Action *****

No summer camp this year, everyone is welcome to join us for Family Day brought to you by your CWA Leadership. Let's come together for one day and forget about the strike.

RSVP here: https://actionnetwork.org/event_campaigns/may-21-kids-day-of-action

Event begins May 21, 2016

Location: Nationwide

Going on strike is a big risk for the 40,000 men and women at Verizon and their families. It has been over 30 days without pay and the company cancelled workers' health insurance on May 1. For a family with kids especially, that's serious.

Will you take a stand to support these brave working families? Join us on Saturday, May 21 for a Verizon Strike National Family and Kids Day of Action.

What parent would ever want to bring their children to watch their parents picket? People drive by and give them finger all day long. Then, the children have to watch their parent walk in circles and chant like mindless robots. I have frequently seen drunks at these protests and plenty of cursing, You can report them to social services if you see them abusing their children.
