When you consider mortgages, car notes, groceries, utilities, cable, telephone, etc, $1500 will not go far at all.
Everyone should have there own personal strike fund. Like a Christmas club fund

I would recommend all locals adopt a local fund in addition to the national fund. It has made this whole ordeal much more bearable to deal with. While still not the amount of our regular paychecks the overall drop in income is a lot less of what I have heard in other areas.
And then there's the IBEW looking for a few crumbs. It's a shame they got the anchor of the dirtball CWA around their necks.
