Call Center Closing Process?

Maybe some of you that have been through the process of closing a call center can explain the process. Do they notify the CSR's via email, a meeting, etc...? I can't figure out how they can get them all off the phone at the same time. I also saw in a previous thread that mgmt's job for the 60 days is to look for another job. Is it the same for bargained employees or are they expected to continue to take calls during this time?

We were informed at a meeting today that our center may be one of the centers chosen to close. We will be notified soon is all I know at this time. Feeling so many emotions today, I have been with the company for 12 years.

They re route the calls and they put a townhall meeting on your schedule in IEX...NOT every townhall you see on your schedule will result in a layoff lol...that's how they do it though. .

I think this company ran pretty well auto pilot with him just doing all the fast talking and smiling... The shift and exposure to his leadership issues started with the failed T-Mobile deal. It's been down hill from there. Because the turn around requires real skill , vision, etc no wifi which he has.

Cingular was a different company under Ralph, but I fee like he's been so submerged in status quo, he wouldn't be much better. It would honestly take a Musk, Bezos, Zuck, type of person. Total fresh new blood.

You will all be told by your director. During your 60 days you are expected to perform your regular duties, the same for managers. Work does not stop during your 60 days.
