Even more layoffs will result from this. All these acquisitions and the only thing to come from them are more and more layoffs.

No big deal? Where do you think the money to aquire it is coming from? Layoffs of course.
This is no big deal. It ties in with the "new platform" objectives.
Seems like the formula to pay for stuff (esp things that don't work) with jobs...
It's lazy. Why not come from a montezation standpoint, it seems like the backup plan is to cut staff if the buy turns bad. Why not fire the person eho repeatedly excecutes these bad deals.
The money will be recouped in layoffs.
