Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Joplin

Is Joplin going to close? Low call volume, eTime everyday, no training, only positions is CSR's everything else was took away. Ops, Help desk, Tech support, Key contacts all gone. Joplin also cost money and is under EG unbrella. Suppose to be a sales center but Florida sales centers has hour wait time, back to back calls and is hiring. Even there director is leaving. Why do they not get some of there calls. Maybe it will close, is the writing on the wall?

AT&T will definitely be closing centers this year but it's unknown which ones. Eventually I believe all US-based call centers will be shuttered (probably by 2020) in favor of automation and cheap off shore labor.
