How do we rescind the "Strike Vote?" Anyone know the NLRB rules on it?

Please ...... do any outsiders know how a strike vote is taken? A meeting is called, a little piece of paper is given with no identifying number that can be easily duplicated by anyone beforehand, and a Yes/No box is checked by the Member then submitted into a random box. The votes are sorted into piles. If there appears to be more "NO" votes then mysteriously another box of ballot are introduced allegedly from Members who couldn't attend the meeting and "voted" at the Hall. Number tallies are never given. What a farce of our democracy. Maybe strike votes can't be rescinded but new laws can be made.

The next time we have a strike authorization vote just say no. Its your right. However be expected to be coerced into saying yes. As you can tell its working out great for us right now. Go team!

God, another stupid troll. If the OP were a real person I'd say resign your membership and cross because you can't rescind a strike authorization. Since you are not a real union member I just have to laugh at you now.

"The last strike lasted 2 weeks because Verizon wasn't prepared."

Nope. It lasted only two weeks because union leadership didn't want to part with the buck, and the membership ended up with a joke of a contract after mediation.

" I hate to say it, but they were more prepared than us this time.

Not from what I've seen, or heard, from trustworthy individuals on both sides.

This hasn't been presented as an option because the unions have backed us all into a point of no return. We bet wrong on this one and will pay the price. Better start looking for a new job because we arent coming back. This is why they have no information. Find a new way to take care of your family.
