The call center employees have almost been completely replaced. Soon the field workers will be all filled by new contractors. Don't quit VZ, take down the Unions...you have way more resources than they do!!! Go Verizon, so proud of you and all of the EWA employees!!!

Comical to hear people say they are leaving Vz either way without a severance package. If it's that bad then go on to greener pastures now instead of sacrificing $7-10k in monthly salary. If you saved money great. Don't blow it on nothing. Invest it and move on. The greener pastures don't exist and you know you can't replace the income so you stay and ride it out. News Flash...the job market in the northeast can't support 36K unemployed telecom workers all looking for new positions at the same time. So of those 36K, only the best of the best will find jobs. The rest will have to make big changes and go down a different road. In the coming months, you will be competing against your "brothers" for the same jobs. Best wishes and good luck. Staying out is what Vz wants but I think it's foolish for the individual. No one looks out for you but you and your family.
