Verizon would have to file for bankruptcy protection like Fairpoint did before the strike for any of that to happen. I'd bet on a snowball surviving in hell first.

In New York they sent daily Long Island techs to the Bronx, while sending Westchester techs to Queens. So they got to waive at each other while crossing the bridge and paying $15 in tolls everyday for months. Someone should have been fired for that alone.
