"Editor's Note: A second statement by Master Cpl. Jeffrey Hale, with Delaware State Police confirmed there was a third vehicle involved in the crash. An original statement by police stated the incident was a two-vehicle crash. In an updated release, Hale added that the protester following the contractor cut-off the third vehicle and then ran into the back of the contractor's vehicle. The third vehicle then ran into the second vehicle and eventually struck the right rear of the contractor's vehicle as well. The protester was cited for making an improper lane change."

Wonder why they didn't include the incident of the CWA "mobile picketer" first harassing a woman contractor and then plowing into the back of her van while driving forcing both of them into a ditch.

It's time to stop this madness. Verizon is prepared to keep the strike going for months, unlike the striking workers. Get to the phone and call the company. Sing that deal before it's too late!

All I read was here is a bunch of things that dont matter to distract you and keep you motivated. Would you morons do something productive? I am fine for few more weeks but a lot of us out here are not as lucky as me

I had posted this already, but everyone already knew there are 2 call centers in the Philipines, 3 in India, 1 in Mexico, and 1 in Canada. This is old news and not something that developed overnight, they have been there for more than 3 years. The CWA only discovered what most of its members and the public already new, talk about the last being invited to the party. Did this warrant the cost of 4 plane tickets, hotel stays, food, and transportation costs, I think not. The money should have been spent on covering benefits for their membership. Say what you want to say about Lowell being greedy, but at least he has a clue and a plan. Don't see that from the CWA, other then trying to boost its membership by getting wireless members as they sell the landline people down the drain.

This bargaining report is a joke. How about just write: There is no movement this week and keep doing your picket duty.

Honest question - what do the average union members think when they read these updates? Who writes the updates? The update is borderline Yellow Journalism. I assume (hope?) that most Union members interpret them skeptically.

Just sign the deal, stop the bickering , time for a reality check!!!

This is a joke. Going nowhere fast and nothing even being done to get us back to work. Should have taken mediation from the beginning.

My guess is that the union is waiting for verizon to call them to the table and verizon is waiting on the union in other words a staring contest sounds like an impasse to me maybe mediators need to be involved to make the children play nice

I suggest the union needs to realize they should strikes a deal soon, the work being done overseas is for legacy MCI/Wordcom. Keep holding out the VZT work could end up over there as well. I get it the CEO makes too much money but that is cooperate America not Verizon. Oh but look at profits, that is wireless not wire line. In the end the union wants to make jobs so they collect more dues, not work with the company to make it profitable and provide secure jobs. The world is changing and workers need new skills to remain marketable, being stuck in a union that states you can only do A B and C is not going to get you there!

Go ahead march to the White house, you will realize that most of the country knows little or cares at all. The attention of the media is not on the strike, that is not enticing to the viewers. The media cares about this wild political race that is unfolding. You all are just digging yourselves into a deeper hole. I hope that you all can find new ways of gaining the interest of the public because I've been away on EWA for a month now, and most of my close family members and friends still know little to nothing about this issue. I'm not trying to bash you all or anything of that sort. I am all for everyone fighting for what they believe in, but at the end of the day, a majority of Americans simply do not care about the strike, plain and simple. I personally just don't see the company budging on this, they are set up for the long haul. I admire many of your fellow union members drive for what they feel is fair, I would just hate to see you all accept this same deal that's currently on the table, or worse, lose your jobs.
