Bad to send jobs overseas but ok to have unions as long as they pay dues to the US. That's comical.
Oh for Petes sake. The last thing the world needs is more unions! They are killing this country with their greed and laziness already. Unions are just a legal way for employees to do the least amount of work possible with the highest salaries. It's pure greed. No union employee will be hired by a non-union company because employers know union employees are lazy crybabies with minimal education or intelligence.
Nothing wrong with the CWA working with partner unions to unionize in the Philippines. This will make the company less likely to outsource jobs if the places intended to receive those jobs end up having strike powers too, and demand for pensions and health care just like you. When the world's unions unite, the collective has solidarity that the corporations are unable to stop. The revolution will be won on the stump, and the unions of the world must unite.
A bunch of strangers sit in a unmarked van want to get into the company's building without any good reasons. Yeah. I think the security guard did the right thing. Protecting the company's property and employees' lives is their job. Especially since the Paris terrorist attacks last year, there have been literally hundreds of terrorist attacks around the world including Philippine.

-uyj has it right. I am so tired of these BS artists who in the end don't really want to get Americans to have tech jobs. They want the cheaper labor. Spin up and spit out for the almighty dollar.
The answer to why no one is covering this story is money. VZ spends countless money in advertising to all the stations that own all the media outlets. They don't dare report these stories in fear of losing all that advertising money.
Btw....VZ is a horrible company to work for. They are exactly what is wrong with corporate America. Worst decision I ever made was working for them. Awful, awful company. All the way up the management chain.

Now you see why Lowell wants to outsource everything he can. And when he can't outsource, he will bring in foreign workers to work 12 hr shifts for less than a hundred dollars a day.
This is what Lowell and his team want. 2 dollar an hour workers placed in a building surrounded by armed guards. How come the news outlets aren't covering this story? Why isn't the union telling this story? What the heck is going on in this country that stories like this are ignored
