Company is in this for the long haul. i.e.: the billions of profits they make each quarter means they have cash. Yes, they have debt, but smart debt. Just because a company holds a sh*t ton of debt doesn't mean they're struggling.
Company wants to get rid of both the Union and Wireline. That's old news. Current news is, they have the resources to do it, and the strike gave them the opportune time.
They'll stand firm until 2099, when we are all gone.
I don't feel for the union. But I do feel for the Union's spouses and children.
Honestly, there is nowhere for the union to go from here. Company has planned this for years ... With 20 different phases. They are only at number 2 right now.
Open your eyes, Union. Please. For the love of your families. It's not going to get any better.
