Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Question for the EWAs

Are you guys being forced to do "call aheads"? If so do you have to call ALL your customers in the morning first before heading out?

What about QARs? Do your bosses question your entire day for any perceived problem or reason?

Do you get 2 or 3 8-12s that you couldn't possibly make due to workload or distance/travel between the jobs?

Are you questioned about I filing or GPS?

Do you get called for "where is my tech" from dispatch?

Are are you required to provide your cell phone number to the customer so they can call you back the next day or whenever there is a problem and do you answer?

Do you think the company may make it tough on the union because the union makes it tough on them? I'm just sayin'

I am not shocked at all the nanny things VZ has to do to make union employees work. The rest of us call is work and don't need babysitting. Im not in high school anymore and Im not trying to get over on my employer, but when minimalist standards are imposed then that is all that will be met. SMDH

EWAS are not forced to do anything. We are management.

yes I call ahead and also give (no forced to) the customer my cell number to call if they have a future problem. QARs and GPS are a non issue because, I am where I am supposed to be, doing what I am supposed to do. You know what I do when I finish a job? I go on to the next. When I am hungry, I will look for a place enroute to my next job. I have not had any problems of yet.

Apparently you are worried about it or you wouldn't be posting about it.

It isn't your job anymore so so move along. It's none of your business.

I guess it takes all that to keep the union guys working at a steady pace.

Hmmm.... You must be a Union guy that plays the same game. To answer your question, who cares, I'm getting paid.
