Wireless RIFs were days away right before the strike started. Mgt is on a opex reduction tear this year,

I'm betting RIFs occur within 30 days of the strike ending. They now have to offset all of this EWA OT, travel, hotel bills ,meals, ect.

@FLV- yes FCC is a federal agency… The Federal Communications Commission. If they get involved, they will go to Verizon with their concerns. Verizon will acknowledge there are problems. Verizon will then show the FCC their recovery plan to either settle with the union or bring in contractors. The FCC will be satisfied that Verizon is addressing the situation. Maybe Verizon will get a slap-on-the-wrist fine and/or a deadline to have a solution implemented. The FCC does not care how Verizon fixes the problem… only that they do. They are neither pro nor anti union. Having the FCC involved will probably not make Verizon settle.

FCC? Another federal agency. Sounds like Federal Mediation which was offered and rejected a month ago.

It's not going to last much longer. Sells are high but installs are being pushed out 3 to 4 weeks. Backlog is growing. Soon the fcc will get involved.

Per Erwin: "sales are significantly higher than we expected". Appears the company isn't suffering as some assumed they would. Just proves this strike will be going on for a long time yet.

Per Straton: "Our second phase is underway". This isn't going to be resolved anytime soon :(

Vz is not budging. It's not propaganda or a bluff. Union can come back and have income while they look for a better job or be replaced. If they don't come back, EWA can suck it up for another 60 days. Income will make it worthwhile for short term inconvenience.
