listening to the Union elite tell me this strike is about future job security is like the hardback encyclopedia salesman screaming that the internet will never catch on or the vinyl record press operator fighting the digital music industry..... it just doesn't make sense. Take the 7.5% and make hay while the sun shines. If your young enough to worry past 5 or 10 years, retrain and let Verizon pay for it.

Yeah sure. Like my benefits have been taken away from all my years not being in the union. What a bunch of paranoia. If you're not worth your salt here at the company, then yes you need to worry. If you're doing a low skill job that someone else could do for a lot less, then yes you can worry.
It is for the Union's future security. It is for the union leadership's future security. Screw the employees on strike. Their sacrifice is collateral damage.
You are correct. The problem here is, many young folks are living for today. They aren't wise enough to look ahead. The non union haters have very few live experience. They will eventually get it, but it will be to late.
