OP is right. Stop asking them to come back. We don't want them back. It is so much nicer without them. Contractors will take outsides place. Verizon only wants the Central Offices . It is all part of the plan. Union falling right into it.
Zvg, sorry to break it to you but VZ can replace the union workers with temp and/or permanent employees. This is an economic strike and under those rules replacements are permitted and you can be locked out.
And that is exactly what is happening.

The union is done just like go90, losing original iPhone exclusivity, Terremark, Redbox, buying out Vodafone at the worst possible time, having the most debt of ANY company, AOL, Yahoo, etc. are wise business decisions.

Verizon never played the union crushing game with other sold territories. In fact, Frontier extended the existing CWA contracts in every case. They want us, they just want us cheaper.
Our 3 smallest states in customer base, the West, sold for $10.5 billion. How much do you think the Eastern Seaboard would cost? Nobody could afford to buy except Google, and they don't want the copper.
If they sell wireline, they can no longer cook the books.

Trust me Verizon cares about the lost revenue, even if wireline brings in less than wireless. What company is happy about missing 30% of revenue? Stock hasn't dropped because the true #s haven't been revealed yet.
