How much does picketing the hotel pay?
I'm considering this offer which I think pays better - http://verizon.com/tempjob but you tell me from the front lines how much you made today because maybe you got a better deal that we should know about.

"Gotta go Action News just got here". Were you hoping to use scare methods for the news camera? That should go a long way to get the public on your side? That should work.
I've worked here a long time and never once felt intimidated personally by anyone in the company. I remember some executives who did like to intimidate but they got riffed one by one over the years.
Same intimidation corporate uses against us ,,,,,Hahaha

Union hard cores talking tough but deep down they are scared which is why they resort to intimidation. That may work on some people. All it does is reenforce the stereotype of union people to everyone else. Company will do what it's gonna do with or without you.
So many customers are without service
So many complaints
No new installs
Verizon employees tired and stressed
Company uses fear to intimidate workers
Company so profitable and still hates its workers,,
Union strong!!!

The way you show your value in the workforce is by work ethic and skills. When these types of scare tactics are invoked, it plays your hand and shows you do not consider yourself valuable after all. if these replacements coming in to do your jobs are as incompetent as you state, what are you worried about? Let them do their work, let them screw up as you say they're going to, then let this prove your value. In this way, the company's own strategy will backfire on them.
Alternately, it may prove you are not needed quite as much as you might think.
So.....are you confident enough in your own skills to bet on yourself? The answer to this lies in your collective behavior.

Yawn...it's Philly. what do you expect. Uneducated, overweight, bigoted, wife beaters, foul people unless you're one of their drinking buddies. Yeah I know them well. Probably related to some of them.
VZ just got a retraining order to keep Union from picketing/harassing EWA hotels.
