If so many of you want the union to take the offer on the table, why don't you go picket the union if you think they might listen? Or are you afraid of the union thugs that will target you and your family?

Screw mediation. They will start over from scratch. Sign the deal on the table. Do what's right for the people that put you in power, Mr. Shelton, and let us decide by a vote if this is the deal we take.

Might be time for Union to push mediation to get folks back to work while the details are hashed out. Maybe membership pressure will drive that. Nothing is happening on its own.

I totally believe this was written by a striking employee. You all want to jump on him and rah rah the union...well, my household lost $6000 in these four weeks. Zero income. But bills don't stop coming, creditors don't care. We had some money saved and made it thru the month but this will not be the case moving forward. Now I am intervieiwing for a new job...lets see, I made $37.50 an hour plus overtime...most jobs out there are paying between $10 and $23 an hour with no pension, no profit sharing and a huge medical deduction. So, we work 2 jobs and never see our kids and our families? Thank the union for that. I gave my kids a good living, now i am forced to feed them pb&j and ramen noodles. Thanks Union...thanks for keeping the majority of us happy & healthy...this all iust SUCKS!!

I've been on EWA since the beginning of the strike. I'm at a desk learning a slightly different job. I'm getting a lot of cash for it, which is very nice, but I'd rather be back to my normal job and spending weekends with my family.

Since I've been here we've had several people cross the line and come back to work. I've spoken with a few. None of them came back because they just wanted more money, or because they were cowards. If it was just the money, or fear, they would have crossed day one and been safely earning an income for the last few weeks. All the ones I've spoken to crossed because they decided that coming in to work and leaving the union was what was best for their families. Getting children back on insurance was a big thing for some. They all made a hard decision. Nobody I've seen on this side gives them a hard time when they return. I'm glad to see them and have someone to help when I run in to new situations. The ones who cross are no more evil, lazy, or cowardly, than those who are still walking the picket lines. All of you are just doing what you think is best for you and your families. There is no need to threaten and vilify people for their decisions.

While I understand very well how overtime calculations work and remember the checks that we've seen during Sandy, $225K is an extremely far stretch even for the toughest OT whores in this company. And Katrinas and Sandys don't happen every year...

I'm already on my way out, and since I was able to bank so much money during my time there so far without working a ton of unnecessary overtime, I am riding out this strike just fine. This has been a nice one month "staycation" at home and away from that sweatshop environment hellhole.

A smarter move would be just to find another job, not crossing the picket line betraying your brothers and sisters and everything that has been fought for. Crossing the line is completely selfish and self centered.
