The offer on the table is very fair in the current market conditions. Which is why there is no shortage of ex telecom guys working for vendor companies jumping at the chance for the contractor roles. They have families to feed and will go where the work is. Mediation hasn't been accepted because they know their demands are not reasonable by anyone's standards. This bus is being driven off a cliff. I don't get it.

This ended the day the union did exactly what the company was waiting for and walked out. In a few months all the strikers will have been replaced by "temps", the EWAs will all go home, and it will be back to normal.
