That's easily said when your still getting paid. I know they say they are suspending their pay but who holds that accountable. I think the union does have our best interest but they are putting their best interest ahead of the people out here with no pay and no insurance. The chance of incurring a lot of debt is very real. Cobra or no Cobra. That's not going to work. It's time to put the members needs right now above making sure the unions lasts forever. I'm not worried about new hires (future employees) and up and comers. I'm worried about the people who are walking now. That dream of getting a son or daughter a job is over. It's just a harsh reality. I'm not crossing because that would slap everyone that walked before us in the face but they need to look present tense. Give on the health care except for retirees. They deserve what they have earned. We lost enough money to pay for those additional fees already. I have not heard of one union concession. I am pro union but this is crazy. Maybe I'm missing something.

I think the big problem is that the union thinks this is a pissing match. Who can outlast the other. Company management knows this is instead a paradigm shift. In other words, the game has changed, permanently. Slowly the union members are getting wise to this, but it is not in the best interest of union management to admit to this and suck it up. They are good at playing the pissing game, but it's not about who can pee the longest anymore. No amount of striking will bring back the old days.
