Are they literally not talking? Are they not informing those suffering the brunt of this work stoppage?

There can't be updates on stuff that isn't happening.The company already won.This is just salt in the wounds.
At this point anyone surprised by all this obviously was not listening carefully months ago.We punched the the company and they punched us back harder.Looking up at them from the ground some consider some kind of victory.
"There's nothing to say. The company has moved on and is hiring "temps" to replace the strikers. As far as the company is considered this is over. In a few months the strikers will be replaced and the EWAs will go home and it will be business as usual."
These few sentences some everything up perfectly. There's no need for any other posts on this entire board.
With the union needs to understand is that the company doesn't want you to take the last best and final offer. I'm not trying to be inflammatory here, but it is reality. If you do take the offer, you will actually disrupt the plans of highest level management. They have been studying all of this for years and know exactly how to keep the company running without the union, and they have been waiting for an event like this to put the plan into place.

The only ones suffering are the customers.

I don't think there have been any negotiations in the MidAtlantic for days. Really, if you consider the last few updates have just been "We made these suggestions/demands/requests from the company. The company responded that we had their last, best, and final offer" so no changes in a couple of weeks now. Some new hiring, some crossing the line, many still on strike but little picketing going on. From both sides this seems almost a non event for the leadership. I wouldn't be surprised if the July 1 update will be the same thing.

Some on EWA don't earn OT, just straight salary. Not many, though.
Who is suffering? Not the strikers as they chose to be out on strike so obviously they are not suffering. The EWA are not suffering that much. They knew this was coming and they are making a load of money.
