Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Chris Shelton is incompetent

Chris Shelton is putting all his chips in and betting with our families lives. This clown doesnt care if we ever go back he's after wireless. Why do you think so many of us are at the stores? Not to slow down business but to infuence the teenage retail workers to join the union. He and his team plan on recruiting tens of thousands of wireless people. But we all know this will never happen and it comes at the expense of our jobs. Why cant we see the union proposal? Let us vote now on the last offer. Hey Chris now you are fu@@ ing with my family. Time to put us back to work. End this mess you and Bernie started for a few photo opts. We are feeling the bern.

So you're afraid to cross? You fear your brothers? What kind of family is that which doesn't respect the individual? Ah, it is because it is not really a family but an organization of followers who get to spend their lives stuck in the same sort of peer pressure they feared in school. The union is quite a trap, isn't it? It's like you sold your soul and now it may cost you to get it back.

Seriously, if I were working in a Vz store, the sight of a beer-bellied thug getting in the way of my customers and commissions would make me hate them even more.

Stay strong guys nobody's crossing the line this all propaganda By Verizon their usual tactics to try to split up the Union but they need to realize we will not break and will be on strike until we get a fair contract and keep our jobs in the United States it's really simple with billions of dollars in profits this should not be an issue

First, there are very few teenagers working in the wireless stores. Second, if the plan is to recruit the wireless retail workers then picketing the store (thereby affecting the workers' commission) is one of the worst plans imaginable.

You union folks are starting to learn. Still want to call working management SCABS and every other word under the book while your union sells you under ????????

If you're not part of the solution then you're part of the problem. Stop waiting for the union to do something and cross the line. All of you are paying dues for what?

Wouldn't that make a headline to show the union picketing Shelton's HQ and demanding a vote. Would that force his hand or would he send out his goon squad?

This page has become full of strikers tired of picket duty, tired of "one day longer, one day stronger", tired of the guilt they feel having to feed their family on bread, pasta and tuna fish and worried how they are going to pay their bills this week. So what can we all do to force the unions hand? My family NEEDS my husbands salary...we WILL LOSE EVERYTHING if this continues beyond this week. If the Union is there to protect and represent their members when in the hell will they be doing it??

I doubt that was his plan since your strategy of targeting vzw has done nothing but make the vzw employees hate the union.

I've lost faith in them too. Seriously questioning why I'm picketing and not working

I agree. We get no update on anything going on. Last night's phone call "update" was a complete waste of time. Just a lot of hot air from Ed Mooney, stay strong and one day longer BS. I have lost all faith in the union bargaining team. Sit down with the company and try one last time for a fair contract. This strike is going nowhere fast.
