Tell me your greatest strength.
Unity. I stand by my brothers and sisters so nobody pushes us around.
Why did you leave your last employer?
They offered me a lousy 7% raise spread out over three years.
And what would you have had to do during that raise?
Huh?
So you left over money?
Oh no, it had nothing to do with money. They wanted me to pay an extra five dollars a week for their Cadillac health insurance.
You know, or employees pay 50% for a bronze package. But then you did leave her money?
Oh no you got nothing to do with money. They wanted to stop paying for my college tuition.
I didn't notice a degree on your Job application.
Well I didn't finish it but I was three years into a four-year degree in interpretive dance and they want to stop pain and only pay for degrees in management and technology.
So you really did leave over money.
Oh no it had nothing to do with money. There was this call center where only one person worked and they wanted to close it and make that person drive an hour and a half to their job and they only offer them $2000 for their problem or 5000 if they wanted to move.
And that person was you or someone close to you?
No, I have no idea who it was. But that wasn't all. They wanted me to work on the town whenever they wanted.
Did they offer to pay for a hotel or Per-diem?
They used to give me both of them they said I'd be home every night. But the real reason I left, was job security. If I had stayed they could have laid me off at any time.
Well, that is the definition of employment at will.
But I didn't work at Will, I worked at Verizon!
