I'm a proud scab and I don't know why they feel so entitled and expect Verizon to guarantee them a job for their entire life and pension but won't fight for ratification bonus/back pay !!!!!! First of all I was a Ted Cruz supporter. I now have no choice but to be on the Trump bandwagon. He will do I guess. Let's make this civil. I am so frustrated with this union for pulling this strike. It was nothing more than a North East primary fiasco. They will not admit it though. My feeling is this... There is plenty of work to be had and if you're on the new construction side of things you know this. There is enough work to be had with old construction. Verizon owns this plant and refuses to maintain it. That's wrong. This company is looking for a big cash cow without the expense of ownership. That pisses me off and it should anyone who any sense of responsibility. I've been here along time and have worked for what I have and take pride In my job. I have done factory work and know how good I have it. I along with thousands of others are not out with bullhorns harrasing people. I will picket and walk the line but refuse to degrade people because it does nothing to make me feel better about the situation. Is it effective... Maybe but that is not who I was created to be. Bottom line this has brought out the worst in people and myself included at times. So as a man who in the end is doing what I believe is best for my family I wish you the best of all this.
