@yis, funny how V-teamers think that Verizon is such a magical corporation that no one would ever think about leaving for better opportunities elsewhere. Not all employees there are restricted by the golden handcuffs you may be. Also, it is nice to know there are other employers out there who value and reward hard work and not just expect endless asskissing for career advancement which goes on there day end and day out. Go on and enjoy your dead end career there, most of us are ok with moving on for greener pastures.

Funny how Union workers think they are magical and are the only ones capable of performing the work. Newbies make mistakes, but newbies aren't newbies forever.

zqs: perhaps some of the replacements are currently a joke. But the work needed, even as specialiazed as some of it may be, ain't Rubik's cube. The replacements will eventually get better, and will eventually become actually quite good. And more quickly than you might think. That's just human nature. So, I doubt VZ will cave on that basis.
When I got hired I wasn't a temp. You haters trying to spread this company propaganda, they are called temp.
How many poles have fallen on houses in the last 20 years. Probably none. One week into it that happens. Just look on you tube. It's a circus out there. I can't count how many trucks I've seen with bin doors open and crap falling out on the road. You people are a joke.

No one is talking about negotiations or bargaining anymore. All focus is now on getting the so called temps trained and in the field and that is happening with great haste.
