40 K Verizon emp on strike...cell and house phones still work a month later...sounds like they could lose a few people...like 20 K and still run the company until they train more at less money...which is their goal..They should be greatfull for their inflated salary's and great benefits....others would kill for less...don't see strike on the news do you....The CWA sleeps with Ma Bell...This is about union survival...not about under paid employees

@utf - I got a week training. guess what... that was too much. this ewa is the easiest assignment I've ever had. it just proves to me that all union sh-- should be crushed. they are overpaid, worthless leaches living off the productivity of others. I hope two things.... one- once you're snuffed out at Verizon, other employers won't suffer your lazy worthless BS. Two- that you didn't breed to pass this sh-- on to the next generation.

Spelling doesn't feed your kids or make a car payment..and make house payments....Your call...More replacement workers being trained as you walk...Every body knows you can train a new emp. In 30 days...the next time you walk may be in an unemployment Line...and the longer the strike the longer it will take for you to recover...Few of your bills will wait for payment...you should stop being selfish and think of your families...And their health and well being...It's not all about the union...Which by the way has lost 1/3 of their members in 5 Years
