Verizon has not hired anyone for the Union positions in 15 yrs, why would anyone think these temps would be hired permanent? The company want contractors and outsourcing overseas. The company has been weeding these union employees out every year. All this company needs to do is extend the contractand continue to weed the employees out. Then all is done. The problem is a few wireless offices now want to unionize, probably because they know their jobs are not secure. This is what the fight is all about. However the law states you have the right to Unionize, so the company should just allow these FEW offices to have their legal right and then move everyone else to Texas.

"Its hard to work for a company that doesn't care about their product or service."
Exactly, this company has clueless people at the top that will just end up running this company into the ground. How can they not roll out FiOs to more areas? If they think their bread and butter will be stupidity like Go90, Yahoo, Aol and wireless only, that is beyond stupid! FIOS has potential, but the company heads are too short sighted, clueless and greedy to realize it.
Just give me my pension, myself and most of my union brothers and sisters want to leave. All the managers I know want to be rif'd also. Its hard to work for a company that doesn't care about there product or service.
